What's Up Africa is a satirical news show. I started it in March 2011 and thanks to the support of RNW Media it now has around 250.000 Facebook fans. The show is broadcast weekly on BBC World News and filmed and edited by Sandesh Bhugaloo. The latest episodes are on my YouTube channel.
I enjoy talking about a range of subjects I'm passionate about - from what inspired me to switch my career in law for something more creative, fulfilling and focussed on Africa, to social media innovation and my vision on Africa's new generation of leaders.
I'm often asked to host Africa and sustainability related events where the emphasis is on new media, traditional journalism, social engagement, activism, African news and politics, internet trends across Africa and digital life in general. It's something I thoroughly enjoy doing.
When I'm not in front of a camera or on a stage, I love getting behind the mic for commercial and non-commercial voiceover work. If you're interested in booking me just email me or my agent (www.confuego.nl).
“Ikenna's presentation was both informative and thoroughly entertaining. I've already invited him back to give a keynote at our annual general assembly."

“I've co-presented with Ikenna at numerous events and he’s one of the best hosts you’ll find out there. He’s got that great combination of sharpness, versatility and above all humor, to make an event a success.”
Simone Weimans Anchor at NOS News
"Ikenna has a very dynamic and fresh voice. He brings texts to life with spontaneity and enthusiasm. Plus, his creativity and originality behind the microphone always gives me lots of options to present to my clients."
Stephan Bakker Partner at M-OST Audio
“I've been working with Ikenna for about a year now, and had excellent feedback on every single assignment. Ikenna understands the latest technological developments and he knows Africa. And above all: he is great to work with!”
